Burj Khalifa Residents Have 3 Different Fasting Times!

Burj Khalifa Residents Have 3 Different Fasting Times!

SEAToday.com, Dubai - SEAtizens, did you know that the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates has three suhoor and iftar times, depending on the height of the floor?

With a height of 828m and 160 habitable floors, residents living above the 150th floor have to fast 6 minutes longer than the fasting time of Dubai City at normal altitude. This is because the higher you are from the ground, the earlier the sun rises. Moreover, the sun also takes longer to set.

Therefore, the normal fasting time of Dubai City can only be enjoyed by residents of Burj Khalifa up to the 80th floor. For floors 80-150, dawn will arrive 2 minutes earlier and iftar time 2 minutes longer. Making their fasting time to be 4 minutes longer. As for those higher than the 120th floor, dawn will occur 3 minutes earlier and iftar time is also 3 minutes longer. This was revealed by Mohammed al-Qubaisi, Dubai’s top cleric back in 2019.

How unique! Are any of you interested in witnessing this unique phenomenon?
