SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Law and Human Rights Ministry said Indonesia will implement a family office investment scheme or family-based fund management, suitable for social enterprises.

The ministry’s General Legal Administration (AHU) Director General Cahyo Muzhar said on Friday (7/26) that the programme will be launched in October 2024, in line with plans to launch a social enterprise entity by the AHU Directorate General. According to him, this scheme was adopted from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He explained that the UAE has philanthropists who are interested in placing their funds in social enterprise entities for social business activities and other non-profit activities. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, it can be done by creating a comprehensive, integrated international business ecosystem, and providing ease of investment in legal and institutional infrastructure.
