SEAToday.com, Karawang - Karawang Regent, Aep Syaepuloh, has prohibited karaoke bars from operating during the holy month of Ramadan. According to information on Sunday (3/17), the prohibition was issued because there are still many karaoke bars that violate the rules.
"Previously, we gave tolerance to karaoke places to open from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. during Ramadan and not to sell alcoholic beverages and wear polite clothes. But there are still violators, so we decided not to operate," he said.
Earlier on Saturday (3/16), the Regent of Karawang, together with the Karawang Departmental Police Chief, inspected a number of karaoke venues. According to the inspection, there are still a number of karaoke places that open outside the prescribed hours and sell alcohol during Ramadan.
