SEAToday.com, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the police would temporarily eliminate manual ticketing during the Christmas and New Year 2024 (Nataru) holidays on Monday (12/11). Traffic police on duty will only reprimand and appeal to drivers who violate traffic laws.
To secure traffic ahead of Nataru, the National Police will hold a candlelight operation from December 22, 2023, to January 2, 2024. The police, along with the TNI and other stakeholders, will deploy 129,923 joint personnel in the operation.
Although he did not conduct manual ticketing, Kapolri urged the public to always be careful when driving, obey the rules, and respect and maintain each other's safety.
