SEAToday.com, Singapore - In a bid for inclusivity, Miss Universe Singapore (MUS) opens its doors to a wider pool of contestants for the 2024 pageant.

The competition is now open to residents of Singapore who are married, divorced, or have children, with no upper age limit. Contestants must be at least 18 years old and have resided in Singapore for at least six months prior to September 1, 2024. However, a minimum height requirement of 1.68 m has been introduced. These changes follow the Miss Universe Organization's lead, which officially removed the upper age limit in 2024.

At the helm of this transformation is Elaine Daly, the new MUS' national director. As a former 2023 Miss Universe Malaysia, her vision for the pageant goes beyond physical beauty, focusing on empowering women to use their voices and advocate for causes they believe in.

“This competition is more than just a crown. It’s a platform to inspire and advocate for causes close to your heart,” said Daly.
