SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, together with Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono, inaugurated Ancol Sentiong Water Pumping Station, North Jakarta, on Monday (12/11).

This pumping station was built to reduce flooding of 879 hectares in several sub-districts, namely Pademangan, Tanjung Priok, Kemayoran, Cempaka Putih, Johar Baru, Matraman, and Senen sub-districts.

President Jokowi said that this pumping station is claimed to be the largest pumping station in Indonesia, which is projected to reduce flooding in Jakarta by 62 percent. The construction cost of this facility reached 481 billion rupiah.
