SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The popular Thai comedy horror movie "Pee Mak" (2013) will be remade into an Indonesian version titled "Kang Mak". This was confirmed by an official statement from "Kang Mak" producer Frederika on Wednesday (1/31).
The movie "Kang Mak", directed by Herwin Novianto, carries a comedy-horror genre wrapped in romance. The movie stars Vino G. Bastian and Marsha Timothy as the lead actors who play Mak and Nak, a husband and wife who are separated in the midst of a 19th century war.
Meanwhile, "Pee Mak" starring Mario Maurer and Davika Hoorne was a huge international success. The film grossed more than 1 billion baht at the box office and became the highest-grossing Thai film of all time.
