SEAToday.com, Jakarta - TasteAtlas just updated their list of the world's best seafood dishes on Thursday (7.4). Indonesia's very own Pempek has climbed to the number one position, after previously holding the third spot.
This fishcake dish with Palembang's signature "cuko" sauce is a favorite among many people in Indonesia and can be found easily everywhere, from street vendors to restaurants. Alongside Pempek, Indonesia's grilled fish (Ikan Bakar) also made the list, coming in at number 48.
The list of seafood dishes is dominated by Japan, with their sushi featuring a variety of fresh fish.
